Marilyn divides her time between Miami, Florida and Hendersonville, North Carolina.

She received a Bachelor of Design in Art Education from the
The University of Florida and a  Masters Degree in Art Education from FIU. She is a Nationally Board  Certified Teacher and has twice  been named Florida's  

Outstanding Art Educator by the FAEA. 

After teaching for over 35 years, she is proud to be a RAT (Retired Art Teacher)

Marilyn is the Co-founder of the Gallery of Light,  the Fund 4 Design & Art Education and author of I Want to Draw I Want to Paint and Art Education: the BIG Picture.


She has presented and conducted numerous workshops from California to Florida. Her work has been exhibited and is represented in private in collections.
